Making a new year’s resolution for myself would probably just end up like this stethoscope heart….it starts off good then it looks a little off towards the middle…then you make the best of what you were able to get done. 😅
Seriously, when I did have resolutions I maintained them for about a month or two then they fizzled out by either a lack of motivation by not seeing results fast enough or being more committed to other projects. So, I’ve changed things to just having two main things to work on as far as character traits go then the remaining individual goals should fall in place. Notice I said “should” lol.
I’m going to be more intentional in the things I do and more consistent in what I pursue.
Being intentional sets you up for success. I’ll be managing my time better as a part of being intentional with the projects I pursue and lessening redirection/distractions. Consistency is probably the hardest thing of the two. It takes discipline to remain consistent, especially when we’re doing things to better ourselves. We consistently go to work or school because you have to…you eventually want to graduate and your work pays bills.
But then you’re trying to change a behavior/habit FOR YOU….it’s the most challenging thing to do. They say something becomes a habit after 8 weeks of consistency so that’s what I’m going for.
I have a passion planner that has printouts with habit tracker check sheets. So instead of having a goal of having something accomplished by a certain date, I’ve combined that with a daily tracker so I can hold myself accountable for small changes rather than one lengthy goal.

Now trust this only works if you check your tracker daily or at least every 3-4 days. I tried this towards the end of last year and I would just turn the page and not even look at it because I knew those check marks were sparse. LOL.
I can’t give up on myself. I’m just going to do it again and just be more intentional and consistent…..like how I brought that all together, huh? Lol. I’m bored ya’ll.
Anyway, that’s what I have going on. A lot on my plate this year, but it’ll get done. Hope you’re starting off your new year with positivity. I saw this post on Instagram and I love every part of this message.
Enjoy, and Happy New Year!
