Featured Artist: Future Dr. Lakshmi Nambiar

Background: Lakshmi was my student during my application year to medical school. She was only 15 learning Medical Terminology, Embryology and AP Biology! She was an incredible student, fast learner, gifted in the sciences and the arts. Prior to leaving to medical school she made this portrait of me. I cried so much! I’m so happy to say she continued to excel in her studies and has already garnered a dual degree acceptance to earn her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Doctorate of Medicine.

I’m so proud to be her tutor, mentor and fellow colleague in about 8 more years. Congratulations Lechu!
